My parents are selling their house in Norway (they currently live in Qatar) and are buying a new one either in Sweden or in the far north of Norway. They already have two houses way, way up in the furthest of magical forests in Sweden. But there are basically no one else living within 45 km, so now they're looking for a new, more livable house closer to civilisation.
I have been quite involved in the process, as would anyone passionate about houses and architecture and interior design and so forth. I'm sure you can relate. And recently they've been looking at a few especially beautiful houses in the south-east of Sweden. I'll post pictures of a few of them another time, cause right now I just needed to explain why I'm posting these photos of nooks!
One of the houses used to be a b&b and in every single one of the bedrooms there was a sleeping alcove! A little nook for people to hide away into. And this is made no less amazing by the fact that the house was located by a private lake in a secluded little spot. Imagine waking up there early summer mornings looking over the misty lake and feeling the moist warmth on your face. I'm not sure you can relate, but it sounds pretty amazing to me either way. So point being; I found some nooks.
